The axe head is made from a single piece of forged metal with an overstrike guard for added durability. The rubber overmold grip at the bottom of the axe head provides additional cutting utility. The back of the hatchet features a hammerhead, and the handle includes a waterproof Gear Storage Stick that nests 5 inches of paracord and a storage compartment for a mini lighter, firestarter, or dry tinder.
